Yes, this is a 30 day launch so you do have time to get in on the action BUT do you want to be the last person sending out?  I am just wanting you to know that it does pay to be at the front of the line. :-)

Liz would REALLY appreciate your help on this.

She’ll also be more than happy to mail an appropriate offer to her list for you too!

Just send me a message at jamiebing (AT) gmail (DOT) com and let me know if you are in or out as well as what we can do for you.

Make More Affiliate Money with Article Marketing

Article marketing is a great way to make more money from your affiliate endeavors.

The hardest part of affiliate marketing is getting people to click on your link and actually buy the product. If the person never buys the product, neither you nor Liz makes any money.

The key to article marketing is writing articles to inform your readers about a topic that your target group would be interested in learning more about. Something that relates to the product you’re trying to promote. Thus, when they get to the end of the article, you need to provide them with a link to find out more information in your resource box.

By no means at all do you want to sell in your articles. That is not the purpose of writing an article and it’s a fast way to get them to go unread. Not to mention, the chances of them getting accepted into article directories is very slim to none.

So, how do you make more affiliate money from article marketing? The following are some easy ways that you can make the most out of your articles to get more money from your affiliate links.

Write About What You Know
The main idea of article marketing is for you to become an expert in your field. You want to be the “to go to guy” when it comes to your niche. If you don’t know what you’re talking about, it’s going to come out loud and clear in your articles.

Use a Catchy Title
Your title should catch the attention of your readers. If it doesn’t no one is going to click on your article which means no one will see your affiliate link either.

Don’t Use Big Words
Most affiliate products want to appeal to the average person. For this reason you don’t want to fill your articles with lots of big words that no one can understand. Your articles should flow nicely, in plain language. Otherwise, you’ll get a click alright - not the kind of click you want though. You’ll get a quick click away from your article. Your goal is not to make your reader feel stupid.

Include a Link to Your Website
In the resource box. Like I said above, you’re not supposed to be selling in your article. You are supposed to be informing the reader and creating a need for the reader to learn more. Then when they get to the end of the article, they will be looking for your resource box. Do not put a link inside the article content itself.

Submit Your Article To Multiple Article Directories
Keep a list of article directories handy. Submit your articles to several directories and keep an eye on which ones seem to do you the most good. You do not need to submit to every single directory available. If you can find any directories that focus on your niche specifically - make sure you jump on those first.

Guest Writing
The more quality articles you write, the more you will find some folks will use many of your articles on their site. I found this rather quickly. If I wrote a bunch of articles about one specific niche, some website owners/newsletter authors would grab every single article about that particular topic. If you find someone who does this, contact them privately and see if you can write articles for them on a regular basis - exclusive articles for them only. You can also keep an eye out for anyone searching for blog contributors or website writers that are in the same niche as you.

Keep At It
Article marketing is not something that you do and then just forget about it. If you want to make more money from your affiliate links then you need to do this on a daily basis. Keep writing more articles on the product and repeat these same steps to make even more money. Make room on your marketing calendar for article marketing on a regular basis.

One really cool thing for you to keep in mind about article marketing is the fact that I’m still making affiliate money on articles I’ve written 6 years ago! ;)

Now go write those money making articles!!

How to Promote Multiple Products

Affiliate Adriana shared with us a very common concern with affiliate marketing:

If I have more than one site that I want to promote, what is the easiest way to promote them without doubling, or tripling the workload? I find that sending traffic to one site my note be so hard, but when you have several it gets kind of tricky.

In my reply to Adriana, I shared one thing she could do.

Being an affiliate for someone such as Liz has the benefits of knowing she plans on offering several of her products for you to earn commissions on. And, more importantly, she basically stays within the same niche.

While yes what Liz offers, internet marketing, is quite a large and very general niche, that is what is the main benefit to you. You’re able to pick a niche from within her more general niche, create some content (or use PLR, hire a ghost writer, etc.) grab some affiliate links and other promotional material of a product or two that fits your niche and build a website.

Since for the most part, all of Liz’s products link up to each other in one way or another - you can eventually continue to expand on your website adding more content about a specific topic and grab the accompanying affiliate product. Depending on what niche you choose, no you may not be able to promote every one of her products but you probably will be able to use alot of them.

Besides, if you read my comment to Adriana you’ve already been warned, as an affiliate marketer, if you do not already have more than one site, the chances of that eventually happening are quite great. So, if you create more than one website - each a very specific niche from within the larger one that Liz offers you - you will more than likely be able to eventually weave each of Liz’s products into the big picture. I don’t believe I need to tell you the benefits of being an affiliate marketer for several products.

If you’re not wanting to build several websites because you’re concerned with having to promote more than one site, I do have another suggestion. Using Liz’s products as an example (of course):

You build a website teaching folks affiliate marketing to promote 5DayCashMachine.com, you create a website to inform your readers how to use PLR to make mo.ney so you can promote PLRHowToVideos.com and you build a website to teach your readers the importance of ventures so you can promote JointVentureSeeker.com.

So you’re up to three websites now, right? Can you come up with any general niches that covers all three of those? How about internet marketing? How about online business newbies? Now of course, I suggest you come up with your own USP and come up with something a little different than general internet marketing - something that hasn’t done to death.

Use your creativity to come up with something that makes you stand out a bit from everyone else and something that links all three of those websites together. Then you build one more website. With this one website, you’re able to promote all three of your other sites. In a sense, you create a portal - a portal that allows you to promote all three of your other websites on one website. Then you only need to promote/advertise that one website.

And this brings me back to the way you benefit by sticking with someone like Liz who consistently adds new products all within the same general wider niche. So, with each new product you want to promote, you build a new website and providing it still relates to your portal website, you add your new site to your new portal.

Last week we talked about how crucial it was to have an email list of some sort. Have you done this yet? If you create one list for all those websites using the same general niche you have on your portal site, you get to contact them every time you have something new to promote. You have a ready-made list of contacts that are interested in what you have to say.

And of course, another benefit of being one of Liz’s affiliates, you should know by now that every time she adds a new product for you to earn commissions on, she always includes at least one article to use in your promotions. Guess what? You now have ready-made content to start your new website and ready-made content for your ready-made list of contacts.

Oh Liz just makes it way too easy for you folks! (hee hee)

Keep in mind though, you want to make sure you optimize them as much as possible for search engines too. This will help to fr.ee natural traffic with little work later and you only have to promote/advertise/brand yourself with your portal site.

Creating a USP in Affiliate Marketing

USP (Unique selling point OR Unique selling position) is what makes you stand out from the rest of the competition. A USP is a must when you are trying to make money from affiliate marketing. With so many different products available and so many affiliates today, you need to have a USP to stand out from the rest of the crowd. Stand out from every other affiliate marketer selling the same product and using the same promotional material as you.

You know as well as everyone else that you are not the only affiliate trying to sell one particular product. There are hundreds of other affiliates who have all signed up to sell those products as well. Not to mention there are probably several other products on the Internet that are exactly like the one you are trying to sell.

I’m not telling you this to scare you off - quite the opposite. I’m telling you this so you know this is where you need to take a stand and be different. This is your moment to shine. :) With all the competition in affiliate marketing, you have to do something to set yourself above the rest and make people notice your promotions and advertisements instead of others. That is were USP comes in.

This is why when you’re promoting those affiliate links, you need to give your readers a fresh perspective on the product. Give them something that they have not seen before. You need to peak their interest (pre-sell) so that they will click on your link and not someone else’s.

Give the reader something that will address their needs or wants, as most of your traffic is from people searching for information about a specific topic. (This is why content is so important to the success of your website.)

USPs should make your product sound as attractive as possible, without sounding like everyone else. This is also why I say so many times that creating your own personal promotional copy is very important. How many other affiliates are using the exact same advertisement as you?

Creating yourself a unique selling point while promoting those affiliate links will get you more traffic, which gets you more clicks, which means more sales, which leads you to the ultimate goal of making more money. (Your goal and mine!)

Affiliate Training Videos

Have you seen the affiliate training videos yet? I know some of you haven’t because there’s some questions being sent to me that are answered in the videos ;) So, since I had to watch them all anyway, I figured I’d do a full review of these videos so you know exactly what to find in each one. Seriously folks - these videos are gold!

Guys, these are absolutely, positively free … one of my favorite phrases is … no purchase necessary. Don’t ignore these videos. Use them to your advantage. And don’t let the “free” word turn you off either. Just because it’s free doesn’t always mean it’s worthless.

I mean let’s face it. There’s a reason Liz does these videos. If you watch these videos and learn how to be a successful affiliate for her then you and she both make money. If you ask me, it’s just called very smart marketing. Just like Phil said here. We’re going to teach you how to make the money. (Yes, we DO realize the importance of this.)

Besides, as so many of you have said, you all want me to reach my main goal as your affiliate manager, right? Then you have to meet me half way. You have to take the tools available to you, use them and apply what you learn. If you don’t meet me half way then we’re not going to reach our goal … To Make You More Money!

If you don’t care to see what I have to say:
- - -> Click here to watch the affiliate videos. < - - -

Alrighty enough of all that, let’s see exactly what is on these videos:

In the following you will find a full review of all the training videos and you will see many personal notes from me. So you’ll either have to ignore or enjoy me. Who wants to read some boring review? I created this review not only to show you exactly what you’ll find in these videos but to also add a few tips of my own.

Domain Names

As an affiliate marketer, you have several different options when it comes to building your websites to promote products - and that’s all going to depend on what your domain name is. Choosing your domain name is such a crucial step. In plain words, it’s a step you don’t want to screw up.

In this video Liz shows you things like how to choose the kind of domain name you need. She even goes as far as to take some of the products available for you to promote as a Tomey Marketing affiliate and tell you what type of domain name you may want to choose to promote those products. (Important little piece of advice in there.)

Liz also discusses the several options you have to promote the product you choose. You’ll see a brief example of how to create a content site OR blog w/ keyword research, how to know how many pages to create and of course, how to pick a domain name for the option you choose to promote the product you choose.

Once you choose what domain name you want, you’re going to need a great place to buy it, right? So, Liz shares with you:

- one of the best places to to get a domain name
- how to get a whole list of suggested domain names by simply entering your idea

For example, we all know most of the “good” domain names are already taken - even if you’re positive the domain name you want
is taken, watch the video and find out how to get a whole list of domain name suggestions (very helpful - I personally do this all the time! You never know what’s going to pop up that you haven’t thought of before)

Basically, this video lays a very good foundation for choosing and buying a domain name. So, before you purchase your
next domain name - be sure to watch this quick 6 minute video - highly worth your time.

Hosting

-First of all - what exactly is hosting and why is it important to have?

- Where’s the best place to get it?

- What type/package of hosting is the best to get?

- Why is this type/package the best choice for a true blue affiliate marketer
(Tip: I also buy this type and it WILL save you a ton of time and money in the future if you’re going to be promoting several products)

This video is not even 4 1/2 minutes long but inside you will find the answer to these oh so very important aspects and it will be your saving grace when it comes to purchasing your hosting. Before you buy hosting for your first time or again even - watch this video.

Tip: Even if you already have hosting, you just may want to watch this video just in case you can’t save some major money by doing som minor things.

Setting Your Name Servers

You have your domain name and you have your hosting - now what?

You receive this email with these crazy looking numbers and it tells you - your site is not live yet.

Your hosting is through one company and your domain name is through another (best way to do this!)

How do you make them work together?

How do you make your website totally live so you can invite others to visit your site?

Wait till you see exactly how easy this is to do. Then keep in mind that when I first started out, I actually paid someone else to do this part for me! (Sure wish I had found out about Liz long before I did! This woman WILL save you time and money!!)

How to Use a WHM

If you bought the type of hosting package Liz recommended in the Getting Hosting video - you’re going to need to know how to add multiple domain names to your hosting account. This is not setting your name servers or DNS that Liz talks about in the Setting Your Name Servers video. This is how to set up your hosting to hold the multiple domain / multiple websites. Again, as usual Liz literally takes you step by step on how to do this - screen shots and all.

(You can certainly consider yourself lucky to be an affiliate of Liz who hands you all this information at no cost - whereas many others will charge you for this kind of tutorial. I know - I’ve seen them.)

This video also explains to you in which order you want to do all of this - again saving you from a lot of time and heartache a little later.

Autoresponders 101
Video 1

The autoresponder series in your training area has to be one of my favorite parts. I told you before in my introduction, I am an
affiliate marketing geek - and I wasn’t lying. I am a true blue,100% full-blown MARKETING GEEK! And if you’re anything like me, this series will fill your craving to not only learn more marketing techniques but also how to make some more serious money.

This series is a bit longer than the rest of the videos but that should go to show you just how important this all is. Autoresponders and newsletters are vital to your business and done properly are a great way to make you a ton of cash (or coin as Liz often likes to call it).

Make sure you watch these videos, pull up a blank text document or - wow :o - maybe you’ll even want to pull out a notebook and pen (you do still own those, right? lol). Anyway - all joking aside, take as many notes as possible. Use this time to do a little of that “brain dumping” I told you about to help you write the best ad copy. You’ll be amazed at what can come from one little brain dumping session.

No, not amazed but extremely happy you’ll have a list that rocks! You’ll have an actual list of ideas you can run with! Trust me when I say this is oh so very fullfilling! Remember, these are videos. Videos you can pause, rewind and even start over.

Actually, this is exacty how I would do it:
I would watch one entire video - not taking any notes yet. Then I would pull out mytool of choice for note taking (which just so happens to be a notepad doc) and I would watch the video again. And, if the need arises, I would watch it a third time. Then I would proceed to the next video and repeat the process.

What you can expect to find in this video:

- Which is the best autoresponder program available? This progam is hands down the easiest to use and the most reliable.
(Again, I personally too use this service is well - LOVE this list management program!)

- Walks you through step by step setting up your first list through your autoresponder and putting up an optin form on your site so you can collect those email addresses which is absolutely, 100% essential to an affiliate marketer so you can MAKE MORE MONEY.

- One tiny step that will help increase the chances of your subscribers taking that one extra step to confirm that they want to receive messages from you. If your potential subscribers don’t confirm that they want to receive messages from you - you’re out a subscriber. (And you need those subscribers! Needless to say - this is one very super-important step. You don’t want to skip this one!

- How to turn that blah confirmation email into something that makes your subscribers say - “Wow! I can’t wait to hit that link!” Okay, so maybe I’m exaggerating just a bit but seriously, this is very important. This is your first chance to stand out from all the rest.

- How to make your subscribers feel as though you’re speaking directly to them and that they are important to you. You need to make them know how important it is to confirm their subscription now. What happens if they don’t confirm right now? Well nothing if they DO confirm later but what happens when they forget why they signed up in the first place? (Which surprisingly - it does happen often.) I don’t need to tell you what happens then, do I?

- How to make use of every single opportunity to grab more traffic to your site. You don’t want to miss these tiny windows of opportunity. You have your readers attention, now use it to your advantage.

- Some ideas of what to do with that confirmation page. There’s no rules saying that once your subscriber confirms their subscription you have to send them to the same old “Thank you page”. In this video, you’ll see some ideas to take this opportunity to grab a few more sales. ;)

Autoresponders 101
Video 2

At this point, you should be ready ready to rock and begin collecting subscribers from your page. This video, the second in the series, discusses setting up an autoresponder series so that once you get that subscriber, they automatically begin recieving a series of emails. (And how to make money with these messsages.) This is usually where the word “autoresponder” comes into play.

See how this can work to your advantage? You can set it up once and it’s all done automatically from there. Yep, set it and forget it. Actually - to be completely honest and just a little sidenote - from my own personal experience: Do not ever completely forget it.

Here’s a litte true story for you …
When I had set up my very own first autoresponder series, I had set it and forgot it. In this particular case, the autoresponder was actually a bit of an email course to go along with an ebook I had for sale. When someone purchased my ebook, they would be automatically sent to a form to fill out to “receive their ebook”. Yes, this was my means I offered for my customers to get the download link to the ebook but this had a few other benefits as well for me and the customer.

The list they were subscribing to wasn’t necessarily a newsletter but an ecourse to go along with the ebook. I had it set up so that my customers would automatically and immediately receive a thank you message as well as some additional resources that might interest them. Spoken as a true affiliate marketer, the additional resources were affiliate links of course. After that initial email, they would then receive a series of emails set for a specific number of days after the purchase that included additional resources and help that was not in the ebook.

(Another fine suggestion of something you can do with an autoresponder ;) )

This worked beautifully. As a matter of fact, I would often received more messages of thanks for the ecourse that went along with the purchase than the ebook itself. (Just goes to show you how much value this adds to an info product - something that is so extremely easy to set up.) Anyway, like I said, this worked out very well until probably close to a couple years later.

I received a message from one of my customers letting me know that there was a broken link in one of the messages. I checked the link and found that the owner of a particular product had changed their affiliate program. This of course, made me want to review each message in the ecourse and I had found a couple other links that I then remembered had been dead for a while.

Lesson learned, I should have kept an eye on my messages and kept the links up to date because I was essentially letting money lay on the table - missing out on commissions.

This is not something you need to check every day or even every week or every month. A quick check every couple of months just to be sure your links are all still working is a good idea. You may also consider adding a note at the bottom of every message saying something along the lines of: “Please hit reply now to let me know of any broken links.” Then your subscribers will basically be helping you keep an eye on things. (You still want to occassionally check yourself though too.)

I’m getting a little ahead of myself here but this is certainly something to keep in mind once you really do get going and if you choose to do something like I did.

Now back to the video and just to clarify - some services offer list management duties only. While this is perfectly fine for some, most need more. More importantly, most should want more. See with most services that offer list management duties only, you’re limited with how many messages you can have set to automatically be sent out to subscribers (if any) when they subscribe. With the sevice Liz & I use and described in these videos, you’re able to utilize basically an unlimited number of autoresponder messages. (Huge plus!) In this video, Liz takes you through the steps - literally step by step on how to set up the autoresponder series.

She even shows you a quick and simple tip that will make your subscribers feel as though you are speaking directly to them when
they receive their email. This is extra important as it helps you build a relationship with your subscribers all on it’s own. If you don’t know already - buiding a trusting relationship with your subscribers is crucial to your email marketing strategies - essentially helping you make it easier to make more money.

Have you ever subscribed to a newsletter that had your name in it? The greeting or the subject line was addressed directly to you? Yep, this is how it’s done. With this video, you too can learn how to step up your newsletters and autoresponder like the “big boys” ;)

Setting your autoresponder up properly, no matter when someone subscribes, they’re going to start getting the messages at the
same time, at the same intervals.

For example:
You have your autoresponder set up so your subscribers receive the following:

- Message one - immediately
- Message two - one day after subscribtion date
- Message three - two days after subscribtion date
- Message four - three days after subscription date … etc, etc …

So, Sally subscribes on Monday:
She will receive message one - immediately
Message two - on Tuesday
Message three - on Wednesday
Message four - on Thursday

And …

Joe subscribes on Tuesday:
He will receive message one - immediately
Message two - on Wednesday
Message three - on Thursday
Message four - on Friday

See how this works? This is a very, very simple set up, taking very good care of your subscribers automatically without any work on your end (once you set it up of course) and Liz explains exactly how to do this step by step in the video.

Don’t forget to be taking notes! You’ll want to pay close attention to find out where to learn how to write really good autoresponder series, ecourses, etc. (A step by step guide on how to create a killer ecourse that makes you money!) You don’t want to miss this!

And then, if this is a newsletter, the subscriber will then begin receiving the regular broadcasts as you send them out just like every other subscriber. This is also described how to do in the video.

Do you have several subscriber lists? If you don’t now, and trust me when I say this - you more than likely will later.

Let’s say for example, you do have several lists. You have something you want to send out to your subscribers but turns out this is a fit for all your subscribers on all your lists - you can create one message then pick and choose which lists it goes out to. (Huge time saver!) Again, this is discussed how to accomplish this in the video.

Have you decided yet you need to go watch this video series? If not, I’m never going to convince you!

Setting Up an Optin Page

In this video, Liz takes “step by step directions” to a whole new level. She will show you from the very beginning every step of the way till you finally publish your optin page.

From where to get optin page templates to a suggested HTML editor to having your optin page ready to grab those subscribers!

With the visual of the screen by screen instructions and Liz explaining - you will be shocked to see exactly how simple this is. The main idea of this video is to help you get over those little technical hurdles commonly found when creating an optin page so you can get something up there and make some money!

Before we go on though we should discuss exactly what an optin page is. An optin page has one and only one purpose. To grab the email addresses of your website visitors. Nothing more … nothing less. You do not want anything more on that page other than text to grab their attention, text to convince them why they need to enter their name and email address and of course … the biggie … the optin box. That’s it.

If you’re a complete newbie and don’t have a clue, then you’ll want to go with the exact programs and templates used in this video and you will be able to create your own optin page right along with the one Liz creates in this video.

They invented pause and rewind for a reason. Use it!

If you can use a typical word processor program - you can use the tools used in this video.

If you have a little bit of website building knowledge and already have your own preference of HTML editors and/or templates but just need a little help. You’ll want to watch this video too. You’ll be able to see what she’s doing on the video and work around it with however your own program works. No biggie.

I’m telling you guys (and ladies of course) the stuff in these videos is absolutely priceless! And it’s all free to TomeyMarketing.com affiliates! Consider yourself very lucky ;)

I personally use raw HTML for my own websites. That’s what I learned with and what I’m comfortable with - not to mention, I’m just too much of a control freak to do it any other way! I’ve also created numerous websites over the years. What I’m trying to say here folks is, I’ve been doing this kind of stuff for years and I still picked up a few things from this video.

(Hmm … guess that’d be another benefit of being Liz Tomey’s affiliate manager :D )

Anyway, back to the video …

Testimonials block blank? Watch the video and find out how the “big dogs” do it.

By the way here - just a sidenote to toss in here - all affiliates do NOT need to be “in competition”. Another way to get some testimonials is to help your fellow Tomey Marketing affiliate out. There’s a lot of you here (HINT HINT)

As I get to know Liz a little better, I’m willing to bet she didn’t even realize she accidently gave some help with creating those catchy headlines - those things that are oh so very important. If your headline does not grab the attention of your visitors immediately, there’s a good chance you’re visitor is going to say bye-bye.

If your visitor says bye-bye then you don’t get the subscriber to convice why they need the product you’re promoting. And if you don’t get the subscriber, you don’t get the money. See the importance here?

** Make those headlines the very first thing your visitors see and grab their attention right away. **

And if you didn’t get enough help with the headlines here, make sure you watch the second video in the autoresponder series for the link to learn more about how to create a killer ecourse. You’re sure to get some great catchy headline tips there!

Are you using WordPerfect, Microsoft Word or any other Word version to create your website and are getting frustrated when you copy and paste it into your site builder and it ends up all screwed up? Watch the video and find out what you should be using instead - something I can almost guarantee every single one of you already have on your computer.

No purchase necessary, hee hee …

I already use this too myself but unfortunately I wasn’t as lucky as you and I didn’t have someone like Liz to show me the ropes. End result? It took me a long time to figure it out. (lol!) As a matter of fact, I’m using this program right this very moment to write up this resource so I can copy and paste it right into the blog post. So as you can see, this one little tip will come in handy for lots of other things too!

Having a hard time putting that optin box code? Does it require going into the actual HTML code to place it? Does this scare the crap out of you? No worries - this is a very common issue!

Oooh, then there is one super-fine tip in this video that you are going to want to see. Not sure Liz even realizes it but if you pay attention to what she does when she’s putting the optin box code, you will forever be letting out a huge sigh of relief! This will certainly also come in handy with other things you’d like to add to your site with similar coding! This little trick can be used for those too!

How cool is that? See, this is exactly why Liz has earned the right to use lizrocks for things like own server!

Cloaking and Redirecting Affiliate Links

- Do you have a problem with those big long very ugly affiliate links?

- Tired of losing commissions because someone took out your code? Or worse yet, complete replaced your affiliate code with their own!?! (Grrr! I call this affiliate theiving and it really burns me up! For gosh sakes give credit where credit is due!!)

- Tired of links getting broken in emails?

This is a huge issue with affiliate marketing that has been a problem probably since Amazon first started their affiliate program. This video will show you exactly what to do to clean up those affiliate links and keep those commissions! As you can see this is an issue I feel very strongly about. Anytime I see someone helping folks keep their commissions - I’m all for it!

In this video Liz shares with about 3 different ways to set up a redirect for your affiliate link (aka cloaking). This way you can pick and choose which way is best for you.

One of the problems with redirecting or cloaking your affiliate links with most ways is you can track the clicks you’re getting. So, one of the ways she shares with you will actually track how many clicks you’re getting on your cloaked link.

*Note: When Liz talks about choosing products to promote - Remember: They are no longer in the same place as they are in the video. To find products to choose from, go to: www.trainyouraffiliates.com/members/promote.htm
www.trainyouraffiliates.com/members/training.htm and watch videos 1, 2 & 3.

Okay back to the video. Installing a Wordpress is soooo simple! If you’ve been putting it off because you don’t know how, you’re so going to kick yourself when you see exactly how easy it is to do and how little time it takes. Let’s put it this way. In this video it took Liz exactly 1 minute and 30 seconds to install a blog - and that’s with chatting away explaining it to you. ;)

But, she doesn’t stop there. She goes on to:

- Show you how to get a theme and install it.

- Show you how to edit the blog template (adding/removing links, sections, etc.)

- How to set up your categories.

- How to change your settings.

- How to make your first post.

- How to delete a post.

- How to install plugins - one of my favorite things to do! Do you know what plugins are? Plugins are simple little things you can install onto your blog to make your blog do some really cool things that your blog doesn’t normally do on it’s own. One of the plugins Liz mentions is one that automaticly makes any links you type a clickable hyperlink. You can even type in TrainYourAffiliates.com and it’s automatically turned into a hyperlink (I personally just sent off an email to my assistant to get that one installed! Very cool!)

Plugins can really jazz up your blog and I highly recommend getting some on your blog. It certainly turns bland to “fand-tastic”! Lame - I know, lol! Just laugh and make me feel better. But seriously, plugins are high up on my list of why I highly recommend you go with a WP blog.

- How to put a banner on the side of your blog. (Great for affiliate graphics!)

Yep, this video pretty much has all the basics you need to know to get your blog going. This video by far is not simply about how to install a blog - so much more. In true Liz style, she tells everything you need to know step by step, holding your hand the whole way.

New Graphics for PLSR Report

I just wanted to give you a real quick heads up …

As promised, we have some awesome looking new graphics ready and available for your use to help you promote the fr.ee report for PrivateLabelSiteReviews.com.

Remember, the PLSR report is a free report on the quality of private label rights sites from around the Internet. Once a person signs up for the report they are sent to a 1-time-offer page (it’s at privatelabelsitereviews.com/oto1.htm ) that will pay you around $20 a sale.

So be sure to head on over to your affiliate tools page here and grab a graphic to help with your promotions.

These graphics have been designed to catch the attention of your visitors both visually and mentally - I mean who can resist a free report? The more people you get to download the report, the higher your chances of more commissions ;)

Plus as usual, we offer a wide variety of sizes so you can choose the best one (or two) for your needs.

Good luck with your promotions!

How to get the best ad copy

Did you know that I’m not “just the affiliate manager”? I’m also an affiliate. I’m going to be right there with you “in the trenches”. So you see, the tools I create for your use, the tips I share, the questions I answer are going to be straight from what I’m doing too. Needless to say, I’m going to make sure all the tools we need are going to be there just waiting for us (you and me as an affiliate) to use.

If I as an affiliate need something, then there’s a pretty darned good chance you’re going to need it too. Not to mention the fact that I too am going to be using these tools. So I’m working hard to make sure I create tools that are going to be quality and going to be wanted. I don’t know about you but I don’t put up just any old junk on my sites and blogs.

One by one, I’m going to be going through and each of Liz’s products she has to offer you. As I do this, I’m going to be making lists and lists of notes of what someone would get out of by purchasing each product. (Because ultimately, that’s what all of our customers want, right?) Then I’ll be writing ad copy and giving you lists of short “ideas” to get your own ideas rolling as well.

One of my favorite things to do that works very well for me is lists of brainstorming or what I actually refer to as braindumping. This is just a lists of notes I’ve picked up throughout the piece I’m reading - which helps to create great ad copy and reviews as well as a nice list to refer to for further creation. I highly recommend others have their own braindumps too and see what you come up with.

Don’t forget though, no matter how much I give you as an affiliate to use - I don’t care how many buttons, banners, email ads, signature lines, articles, reviews, etc is there for your use - there is absolutely, positively nothing even remotely close to being as good as your very own personal review and recommendation. Something you yourself have written in your own words from what you yourself have read and taken in. There simply is no comparison.

Sure, we all say “But I suck at writing ads.” but there is still nothing better than your own personal recommendation that you share with your readers who have come to like what you have to offer and trust you. It doesn’t have to be a hyped up advertisement. Sometimes - depending on the relationship you’ve created with your readers - even the simplest of recommendation including how something has personally helped you is more than enough.

I also know well how it’s not feasible to purchase every single product you want to use an affiliate link for - especially those of you who are just starting out. (Remember, I’ve been there.) That’s another one of the small reasons we offer so many tools. However, make sure you own at the very least one product created by the same author.

In this case of course, I’m saying that before you slap up the next affiliate link to any product of Liz’s, make sure you own at least one of her products.

Besides, when you personally are at least familiar with their work, you’ll find that you probably don’t “suck at writing ads” as much as you thought you did ;) It’s easy to promote something that you know and trust.

Keeping on the same topic here … you’ll also want to remember that you need to spend money to make money. Don’t forget to invest BACK into your business from time to time as well. When you start earning commissions from the first product, invest some of that money back into your affiliate business and purchase something else. Besides, not only will you be reviewing another product to promote, but you’ll also be investing into your education. Hopefully you’ll learn something from the new product you purchased.

Now as I say all this some of you are probably thinking,

“Sure, talk me into buying even more!”

Right? Keep in mind that right now, you purchasing anything from Liz only benefits me in one small way. My job is not to sell you Liz’s products. My job is to help you earn commissions by teaching you how to properly promote an affiliate link. I don’t make a dime from what you purchase. My benefit comes with the success of this affiliate program.

You see, my work is judged based on the success of the affiliate program I’m managing. If the affiliate program fails - so do I. So therefore, when you purchase that next ebook, review it, recommend it to your readers and make a sale, then we have ourselves a properly ran affiliate program. Then yeah, I look good too. I must be doing something right and I get to keep my job. That’s my benefit.

The manager of this affiliate program who’s sole position is to help you make more money is saying this: You need to purchase some of Liz’s products and write your own reviews from time to time too. And don’t forget - your personal review can always be used in addition to to the tools we offer. I’m not wasting my time here either. I want you to use the tools we create as well. It’s all about that perfect balance between the two.

To your success,
Jamie Bing

How to Increase Traffic to Your Website

One affiliate had shared his concern with the fact that he’s got the site but now he doesn’t know how to create traffic to it. Very common issue with a very simple solution. Below you’ll find ways to not only increase your traffic but also things you should not be doing in efforts to increase traffic. Please keep in mind that not all of the following but a lot can be used to increase your blog traffic as well as website traffic.

Link Exchanges -
Exchanging links wtih other sites that relate to you can help increase your traffic as well as backlinks. This is a topic that is discussed to death - does it or does it not help increase traffic. Some will say it does - some will say it doesn’t. I’m here saying that anything like this done in moderation can certainly help improve your rankings, backlinks and traffic. So yeah, it doesn’t hurt to find a few that are in relation to your website and exchange links.

Directory Listings -
Some of the best advertising available is directory advertising. I’m not talking about submitting your site to search engines. If you properly build a website - the search engines will find you. The directory listings I’m speaking of are those you pay to be listed in for a set amount of time. This may be yearly, monthly, weekly or some you can find for a lifetime. As long as you find quality directories (not FFAs), this is another great way to get those backlinks. This also is another way to increase your ranks in the search engines.

Web Design -
Depending on how you build your sites and whether or not you have control over all of these, there are a few things that should be used throughout your entire site. Title Tags - use your targetted keywords or keyword phrases for the title of your pages and titles of your links. Meta Tags - again, you can use your keywords/keyword phrases here to create a description of every single page. Alt Tags - These are titles for graphics. This helps the search engines “read” your graphics as well as serves purpose for those who have their graphics turned off so they don’t see the dreaded red X.

Website Content -
You must have content on your site - and a good deal of it if possible. Search engines love text so therefore, they love content. They also love content that is updated regularly which is exactly why blogs are so popular. Don’t forget to include your keywords/keyword phrases within the content. Another thing to keep in mind here is believe it or not, websites are to be built for human readers first and search engines second. Don’t use your keywords/keyword phrases in such an over abundance that it doesn’t make sense when it’s read. Getting traffic to these pages don’t usually do you any good anyway. You get the traffic but your traffic soon leaves because it looks like something that was written by a child.

Article Writing -
Yes, you should write articles and get them submitted into various article directories. You want to include your keywords within your articles and make sure you include a resource box at the bottom that includes a link to your website. Write quality articles and you will become the “person in the know” about your particular topic. You will become seen as an expert in your industry. The links in you resource box serve as both a road to your site for those who want to see more of what you offer as well as a backlink to your website. If you absolutely cannot write articles yourself, then you may want to consider either buying PLR or hiring a ghost writer but get those articles written. Click here for a list of article directories.

Social Networking -
Utilized properly, social networking can be a great source of traffic too. When I say used properly, I also mean in moderation.

The main idea of social networking is to become friends with others and network with like-minded individuals. It is not what I like to call “Socializing for Dollars” which is all too common. Participate within the network and offer more than simply a link to your website or a link to your current special. Yes, you want to include these things too but don’t forget to socialize and network and share quality information with other members.

So if you’re using social networking properly then you don’t have the time to be a member of more than just a small handful. Most likely (not always) those who are a member of many, many social networks are either stopping by long enough to drop off a link and/or are not becoming valuable active members. If they are a member of many networks and they are participating properly - how do they find the time to put real work into their businesses? Unless they know of something I don’t and have figured out how to put more than 24 hours into one day - then they’re not. When you are a member of too many sites, one of two things are going to suffer: either your business or your social standings, it’s as simple as that.

Here’s a few tips of what not to do:

Do not buy traffic:
I don’t mean PPC - that’s a whole other topic. I’m taking about the ones that can “guarantee 100,000 visitors” for one small investment. Then you’ll even find some who will go so far as guarantee you sales. Baloney! That’s impossible! There is noone who can guarantee you a certain amount of sales. Buying traffic is a scam. You just don’t want to go there.

Do not mess with top sites:
What a big waste of that precious commoditiy we all refer to as time. Time is money. When you become involved with top sites you can bet your behind everyone else listed there is doing the same very thing you will be doing. This could be clicking on your own link and/or voting for yourself. Or you could be like some others spamming friends, family members and some even go so far as ask their list members to vote for them. Don’t waste your time on things like this. It’s just not worth it.

You don’t need to submit your website:
This is a myth. Google themselves will tell you that submitting your website does not increase your traffic and/or rankings. You build a quality website and you will be found by the search engines. The important search engines will index a quality website.

Don’t get involved with web rings:
Did you realize that by joining a web ring, you very well could be sending your traffic away? Web rings are set up so that all members are in the same industry. Essentially, you’re giving direct links to your competitors. You need to be concentrating on keeping the traffic you get, selling your product or service and getting them on your mailing lists - not sending them to a competitive website.

Do not spam your websites:
Yep, you sure can spam your own website. If you want a surefire way to being banned from the search engines, then by all means do not heed my warnings. One way this is done is by placing a lot of unrelated keywords or keyword phrases in meta tags. Have you even ‘Googled’ something only to end up on a website that had absolutely nothing to do with what you were searching for? That’s one way. Another is to create what’s called ‘invisible text’. This is text that is so tiny that it could be passed off as a period in a sentence. The invisible text of course are usually unrelated keywords/keyword phrases or just an over abundance of them to “trick” the search engines.

Do not participate in link farms:
An example of a link farm is where one page of links is generated. To be listed on this page of links, it is a requirement to place this page on your website. A link farm is a list of links created and maintained with only the purpose of constructing links between members of the link farm sites. Don’t hesitate to research and investigate any questionable link pages.

A common explanation of a lot for doing these things you shouldn’t be doing is “It’s free. It won’t hurt me.”

Well you know I’m going to tell you that no, they’re not free because some are a complete waste of your time. (And say it with me, “Time is Money”) For every moment you’re wasting on these worthless “tactics” or “programs” is one less moment you have to work on the right way to increase your traffic.

You could be burning away expensive bandwidth. Some of these “programs” (and I use that word loosely) are built to yes, send you traffic. But, they’ll send masses of un-targeted traffic in hoards. So, you get a jump in your visitors, which in turn jumps your bandwidth use and you end up with nothing more than a bigger bandwidth bill. I’d rather have 100 targeted visitors than 100,000 un-targeted anyday. (Quality over quantity.)

And lastly, some of these tactics very well could get you banned from the search engines. Ouch - that’d hurt, wouldn’t it? Spend your time wisely working on practical and reliable traffic sources that will bring you traffic many times over. You and your site will thank you later!

To your success,
Anita DeFrank
